Paladin; Ascension

Created for the 2019 December Guild Build ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3OK2n3IFLI ) this is a piece that I also combo'd with a very respected friend's challenge of "make something with lights".

Side note, I placed as a finalist with this as an entry ^^. Also my biggest finished piece to date.

Back!

Took a short break from crafting while I constructed a new work table and shelves. Took a while but totally worth it!

Anyway, then I got started on a pet project of mine; the Hydravine Beholder!

So I finished the first map of the original D&D campaign I'm building. It includes a base tiles marked for distance (each little floor tile can mark how many feet are represented by each tile)

Close up shots of the magical portal (center tile reversible to be open with swirly of magic, flip the disk for the portal to "seal" with stonework):

The base tiles are set to standard sizes and generally 2x2 squares each (though there are a couple larger pieces for ease of constructing a larger map). This makes the tiles modular and reusable for different map shapes (kind of like lego pieces that can be fit together differently. This is the grass plane set I created for this world; and the first map's tile base of the playable area:

The other flowers, trees, and rocks pictured in the map are called "scatter terrain", also created in small pieces so that they can be recycled and adjusted for other maps.

Chlorofiend Monster Model

Pretty terrain decoration, then terrifying monster.

....Who occasionally spits out a bunch of babies.

Greeter Statue

This gall was a bit hair pulling to get together initially, but as soon as the base was finished and painted, flowering her up was a grand old time :)
